I want this dress terribly. It's perfect for my vacation next week to Costa Rica. I'm going to keep staring at it until I decide whether to blow my Christmas money yet or not.

So, I know it was the shortest issue of Vogue in a while, but isn't Natalie beautiful?
Her article made me see both Natalie and her "Black Swan" character, Nina, in a new light. Natalie said, "I like pleasure. I like joy. I'd never get to the point where I starve or injure myself like Nina does. I'm the opposite- when I'm hungry, I eat, and I always make sure I'm eating something delicious. I'm tough on myself in terms of standards I want to live up to, but that's also part of my pleasure: knowing you are being your fullest self. Being your fullest self is a lot of work. It's almost more important for me to be going at something full force than what the specific thing is." Determination and commitment to herself is what makes Ms. Portman so flawless and intriguing. She was perfect. Just like Nina in Swan Lake. She truly is "spreading her wings."
Oh, and she inspires my friends and I to see Black Swan opening night, dressed up as ballerinas:
My Tutu from Free People was 70 bucks at a sample sale! My friend Emily's pink tutu was 5 dollars in the kids' section at Christmas Tree Shops!
Guess who got her first Alexander Wang? :)
It's a striped suiting skirt from Alexander Wang's 2010 fall/winter collection. It's black dyed leather and suede, with the white silk stripes. Originally in the $500 markings, it's now mine for $104! I plan on wearing it with the pink Diane Von Furstenburg blouse I got from Ebay tucked in to it, and with Betsey Johnson fishnets and Jeffrey Campbell oxfords. Thank's Gilt Groupe! Seeing you in a box on my porch put a huge smile on my face!
